C-002 Confederate Major With Memphis Imprint

Scarce and nice image of C.S. major by H.A. Balch,
Memphis Tennessee, June 6, 1865. Revenue stamp
affixed on reverse. Image has a wee bit of india ink touch
up done in the hair and mustache.

Medium intensity albumen print on standard carte de
visite mount. Moderate soiling and age toning overall,
else fine. A small chip out of the mount top center.
